A merry, merry unbirthday to me, to you!

Is that a strange title? Maybe. But I think it's quite fitting. It's not quite the birthday of my website, but it is my first ever blog. So I think an unbirthday is a good one to celebrate today!

So, what shall I talk about? I will start with a little bit of everything.

1. Who even are you?

Well, my name is Magda. I am 31, and a graphic designer who graduated from Caledonian University in Glasgow, UK and now lives in Northampton, Uk, with my partner Mr. R and my cat Finn. I have always been an artist. I decided to study graphic design to try and bring my art to life through a variety of media. I now work as an in-house designer for a membership organisation, and run my small business in my free time (or am I allowed to still call it free time? hmm...).

2. What does Magdalena Creative stand for?

Well, Magdalena is my full name, and I make creative things... As funny as that sounds, that is all there is to it. I wanted to keep the name open and simple so that I can always expand my range of products without having to worry that my name doesn't encompass everything I do.

3. So... what do you do?

At the moment, my shop focuses on art prints featuring animals and nature. I have a whole range of pieces, from nursery art to perfect gifts for adults - especially cat and dog lovers. I even have some sighthound (greyhound/whippet) art specifically, as the breed holds a special place in my heart.

In addition to that, I also have some birthday and Christmas greeting cards, dog and mushroom gift wrap and, very soon, I will also have tea towels! How exciting. (Want to know more? Subscribe to my mailing list)

4. What is this blog going to be about?

You know what, I don't know yet. A bit of everything. Behind the scenes, my favourite art tools, cool accounts to follow, new releases...

5. Anything fun happened today?

Well, yes! Maybe not so exciting, but I have finally set up a subscription form to my mailing list and sent my first official, branded email, and it felt great. I have a very (very!) small mailing list at the moment, but I am hoping to grow it with people who want to hear more from me.

If you have not yet signed up, but you would like to, here is the mailing list signup link.

So, I think that is enough for my first go. I hope it gave you a bit of an insight into who I am and what I do.

I hope you come back to read more. I will try to write blogs regularly, but you know how it is - life gets in the way.

Wishing you peace.
